Job Description / Responsibilities

  • Manage the Pharmacovigilance process to meet regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with Central Pharmacovigilance to fulfill global reporting requirements and to standardize processes when possible.
  • Act as the PV Works subject matter expert when interacting with VDD regarding procedural questions and during an audit/inspection.
  • Support all Veterinary Professional Services functions to meet company goals including new hire training, KOL interactions and product CE dinner meetings.
  • Direct and execute the trending and signal detection process and report any findings to senior management, RA and QA.
  • Review and amend departmental and global SOP to meet regulatory and company requirements.
  • Work closely with Marketing to assist in the creation and review of technical sales pieces.
  • Work with Business Development and R&D to review new product opportunities.
  • Assist in budgeting processes.
  • Other duties as assigned.



Job Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of experience working with PV Works.
  • Knowledge and experience in trending and signal detection of adverse drug experience and product defect cases.
  • Experience writing, reviewing and amending department and company SOPs.
  • Ability to work with company colleagues in other countries, such as Central Pharmacovigilance, to ensure global reporting requirements are met.
  • Experience working collaboratively with Research and Development, Marketing, Regulatory Affairs (RA), Quality Assurance (QA) and Sales to support new product development and launches and current product lines.
  • Experience in the Veterinary Professional Services (VPS or Field Veterinary) role or a very good understanding of this role.
  • Must be a self-starter and can work independent of supervision.
  • Experience preparing a department budget.
  • A passion and dedication to providing exceptional customer service.
  • Sound knowledge of companion animal internal medicine. Equine and Livestock knowledge a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills (Bilingual English and French is preferred).
  • Outstanding organization, analytical, and judgment skills.
  • Excellent computer skills, and proficient in MS Office platform.


Qualifications: University Degree required
Knowledge and Experience: DVM with a minimum of 3-5 years clinical experience
Additional Details: Travel – 20%
