2024 CPOPH Contest!

Overview

Parliamentarians, Senators, the Parliamentary Press Gallery, staffers and those with direct ties to the Hill are all invited to submit photos of their beloved pets to compete for the crown of 2024’s Cutest Dog, Cutest Cat or Cutest Other Pet on Parliament Hill

Contest rules

All eligible entries (see contest rules below) will be provided to our esteemed (and bipartisan!) panel of judges

Who can enter?

The contest is open to MPs, Senators, staffers, Parliamentary Press Gallery and anyone who has direct ties to Parliament Hill (those who work in government relations, communications, and media)

What to include:

Each submission must include the pets name, the owners name, place of employment, and a biography that describes what makes them the cutest!

Only ONE pet per picture, with no other elements identifying who the pet belongs to.

Submission rules:

All photos must be submitted from an official work address.

The photo must include an aspect of Canada, or the Canadian Parliament.

Only one entry per pet is allowed.

Multiple pets from the same household can be entered as separate submissions.

2023 winners

Touted by Politico as the “Hottest Vote on the Hill”, Canadians cast a total of 4,024 votes for the nine parliamentary pet finalists in the three hotly contested categories.
