CAHI and its members remain committed to supporting initiatives which offer end users safe disposal options for obsolete or unwanted animal health products. We work with the Health Product Stewardship Association (HPSA), who operate joint collection programs to assist industry with meeting provincial regulatory requirements.

The Health Products Stewardship Association (HPSA) is a national non-profit producer responsibility organization (PRO) representing brand owners and manufacturers of pharmaceutical products (including veterinary products for companion animals that are not included in CleanFarms programs) and medical sharps to meet provincial regulatory requirements.
Quebec and New Brunswick will have new regulations coming into effect in 2024, which will see them join the 4 provinces that currently operate stewardship programs (BC, MB, ON, and PEI). Regulated products in Quebec and New Brunswick will include:
